BUYING, SELLING & TRADING RULES
I'll try to explain my rules as short and to the point as possible but as always, rules are subject to change and I can be slightly flexible in regards to certain rules. The following is my top 10 list, In no particular order, to complete what will hopefully become the first of many good trades...
1) I prefer to record my games in SP mode, but I will accept games in LP mode for the simple fact that I personally dislike having a single game taking up 2 tapes.
2) I prefer my games to be edited for Commercials, Halftimes, Pregames, Postgames, etc. I know some people like the nostalgic aspect of seeing older games with commercials but, If I want to see older commercials, I'll go to TV Land. Don't want to spend the entire game with my finger on the FF button.
3) I prefer to trade game for game, but I'll make an exception if you are a newbie or simply don't have anything I want. In that case, my policy is to trade for 2 blanks per game you wish to have out of my collection or perhaps I'll trade on good faith provided that you create a master of a certain game in the future for me.
4) I used to trade several games at once, but that became such a pain in the ass that I have decided to keep trades to a minimum. I simply will not trade more than 2 - 3 games at one time.
5) I like to keep trades fairly even from a time perspective. For example - 4 30 minute coaches shows for 1 full length game, just makes for a better feeling about the trade from both parties standpoint.
6) This hobby should not be a burden on your wallet. I personally don't care when the items are shipped or what method you use or even how long it takes. All I ask is for the same respect either way. For example - I send my games to you via express mail, you do the same but, if you or I cannot afford that at the time, we can simply mail our packages out as we would on a normal basis.
7) I do not & will not at any time buy or sell games...DON'T BOTHER ASKING!!!
8) Sometimes people get swamped down by many different things going on in their lives & may have a problem finishing a trade or may have equipment problems, most of which is understandable, thus, OPEN COMMUNICATION is vital. Please show enough respect to update me on any problems you may incur during the trade. If other arrangements need to be made then so be it.
9) Last but WITHOUT QUESTION not least (and so important I mention it twice), HONESTY! If your game has major or minor flaws, be up front...If it has any edited timeouts, huddles, etc., let me know...If it's not a great overall copy, tell me...this is the foundation in which good trades\traders are built upon. I'm sure you've heard it before, but, if I can't enjoy a particular copy of a game, what makes me think that you would enjoy that copy of that game.
10) See rule #9...
Now, as far as BUYING & SELLING, I'm very negotiable but I do have ONE major rule... I will not send anything unless I have received payment for it up front--it keeps me from getting ripped off!!! If you wish to purchase something out of my collection, please e-mail me & make me an offer & remember...I DO NOT SELL GAME TAPES!!! I am also willing to trade for cards & collectibles as well so if you have something I want, maybe we can trade items.
